Privacy Policy

This policy explains how TechAdes, operating Obelo, collects and handles personal data when you use Obelo’s websites, marketing workspaces, APIs, and support channels. TechAdes is the controller for account and service-administration data. A customer organization may be the controller of personal data it directs Obelo to process in its workspace.

Information we collect

We collect account identity and contact details; workspace roles and invitations; websites, files, brand assets, prompts, conversations, memories, approvals, outputs, and other content you provide; billing and entitlement records; authorized connected-provider data and resource metadata; device, session, IP, audit, usage, and diagnostic records; and communications with us. We may derive company profiles, recommendations, analytics, and other workspace intelligence from these sources.

Sources of information

Information comes from you and your teammates, publicly accessible pages you ask us to analyze, connected providers you authorize, service and security telemetry, and payment or infrastructure partners supporting the service.

Why we process information

We process information to perform our contract by operating accounts, workspaces, integrations, AI features, publishing, billing, and support; for legitimate interests such as securing, troubleshooting, measuring, and improving Obelo; to comply with legal obligations; and, where required, with consent—for example when you authorize a provider connection or optional communication. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Automated and AI processing

Obelo uses automated systems and AI providers to generate drafts, recommendations, classifications, and analyses. These features can be inaccurate. Approval controls are provided for consequential publishing and workflow actions. Obelo does not use solely automated processing to make legal or similarly significant decisions about individuals.

How information is shared

We disclose information only as needed to service providers that host infrastructure, store files, deliver email, process payments, monitor security, or provide AI and analytics functions; connected providers and publishing destinations you direct us to use; your workspace members according to their roles; professional advisers; authorities where legally required; and a successor in a corporate transaction. Providers act under contractual or platform terms and receive only the information reasonably necessary for their function. We do not sell personal data.

Connected providers

Credentials are encrypted and kept server-side. Provider data is accessed only within the permissions granted to Obelo. You can disconnect a provider from Settings; some providers may also require revocation in their own account. Provider processing is additionally governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

Google API data

When you authorize a Google connection, Obelo accesses only the data needed for the feature you select. For Google Search Console, this may include verified sites and search-performance dimensions and metrics such as queries, pages, countries, devices, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position. For Google Analytics, this may include authorized accounts, properties and data streams, together with reporting dimensions and metrics such as sessions, users, engagement, key events, pages, channels, countries, and devices. For Google Drive, Obelo accesses only files you select or create for Obelo, including their metadata and content, so it can import company knowledge or brand material.

Obelo uses this Google data to provide workspace analytics, company intelligence, retrieval, recommendations, and other user-facing features you request. Selected content or derived summaries may be processed by contracted infrastructure and AI subprocessors solely to provide those Obelo features. Obelo does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose models.

Google OAuth tokens are encrypted and remain server-side. Imported files, normalized analytics, and derived workspace records are access-controlled and retained while the relevant connection, workspace, or legal retention need remains. Disconnecting Google removes Obelo’s continuing local access and requests token revocation where supported; you may also revoke access from your Google Account. Workspace and account deletion workflows remove stored Google-derived data subject to limited protected backups and legal retention duties. Obelo’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

International transfers

Our providers and users may operate outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards required by applicable law and assess the destination and recipient where required.

Retention and deletion

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, meet legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type and workspace instructions. Deletion requests queue a resumable process covering provider credentials, files, embeddings, analytics, schedules, and memberships; limited backup or legally required records may remain until their protected retention period expires.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request information about processing and access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or review of certain automated decisions. Workspace settings also let you inspect or delete memories, revoke sessions, disconnect providers, and request website or account deletion. We may verify your identity and consider another organization’s controller instructions before completing a request.

Cookies and device data

Obelo uses essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in, security, preferences, and core functionality. If optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, we will provide the required notice and choices before using them.

Children

Obelo is a business service and is not directed to children. Do not provide personal data about a child unless you have lawful authority and Obelo has expressly agreed to that processing.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, encrypted server-side secret handling, audit records, tenant-scoped authorization, backups, and monitoring intended to protect data. No system is perfectly secure. Report suspected incidents promptly so we can investigate.

Complaints and policy changes

You may contact us first so we can address a concern. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority. We may update this policy; material changes will be communicated through the service or account contact where reasonably practicable.
